Chiltern Thrust Bore Ltd
The construction industry must surely be the most volatile, confused and fragmented environment in which to operate across the entire UK business spectrum.
And when all your work has to be derived as a subcontractor (so never from any principal client) the likelihood of having to move perpetually between feast and famine is that much greater. After all, how many on-site contractors have either the time or opportunity to continue marketing themselves for the next job when the pressures of this one are so all absorbing?
Transforming Potential have now taken on the role of CTB's Marketing Department and we are taking a pragmatic approach to both the nature of the industry and the particular needs of CTB in developing their business at a time when they have recently and significantly increased their inventory of heavy plant and equipment.
So as yet we haven't undertaken our usual intensive early audit which looks at the business's internal structures or in-depth analysis and reconstruction of the Business Plan and associated Sales and Marketing strategies. But we will.
What we have done is to build a database of past clients and future contacts; built a website www.chilternthrustbore.co.uk and made initial contact with hundreds of prospective contractors. And it's starting to work!
Traffic to the website continues to grow daily and interest through additional contract quotes is also rising. Even the phone is ringing again.
