Something of a departure from the normal Transforming Potential range of activities but even large public bodies sometimes need a little private sector and commercial help.
When Central Government initiatives are driven out across the country with significant deadlines and resource deployment required which are not yours to control, life can quickly become confused.
The “Every Child Matters” programme has brought that state of confusion into play for London Corporation and we have worked with them to sort through the strategic thinking and actions needed to help meet a series of tough deadlines already in place for between now and the end of 2008.
This involved major research across the Borough, not only with their own employees but with many other public, voluntary and commercial agencies who may be involved in this programme.
Given the complexity of communication we have built a full plan supported by a new website, email, printed and face to face (training and seminar) activities to ensure that all gaps are covered; all appropriate participants are identified and informed and minimum disruption is caused to all other “work as usual”.
Not the easiest project to be involved with but a fascinating insight into a very different world.
Following the success of the project to date we expect to be securing more work in the future.
